This One Question Will Help You Get More Followers & Sales From Social Media

Look, when I first started promoting my businesses on social media, all I got were crickets! And I almost gave up.

I was tired of posting and not getting any sales or followers.

I felt like I was wasting my time.

And it wasn't worth it to me.

But fast forward to this homeschooling mom of 4 having 5-figure months, I've learned a thing or two about social media selling.

(Steal the step-by-step strategy for how I grew my business HERE)

You're not going to get followers or sales if you're not posting the content they are looking for.

BUT DON'T GIVE UP.

One of the key factors to social media success is having high-quality, engaging content. And this means writing posts that your followers actually want to read - posts that address their needs and help them solve their problems.

I didn't quite understand this concept at first. I would post things that *I* thought were interesting, but my followers just weren't that into it.

And after spending $7000 on marketing and business courses to figure out how to get more followers and sales from social media, I finally hit upon the key solution.

And here's the deal.

If you're not seeing the sales or followers from your social media posts that you'd like, it's probably because you're "selling" instead of "helping". We often want to "sell" so badly in our business that we often have "buy my stuff" posts more often than we should.

However, businesses need to post content that will show potential customers that they can solve their problems & help with the struggles their audience face in that moment.

Think about it this way:

If you aren't getting leads or sales, something is stopping your audience from taking that next step with you.

So, here's one question that will help you create social media content that will get more sales and followers:

"If I'm not asking them to buy my product in this post, will the information in this post lead them closer toward a sale?"

If the answer is "no", then you need to change up your content strategy.

People need to know, like, and trust you and your business before they'll make a purchase. If they don't have that connection with you yet, then your job is to provide valuable content that will help move them along in that process.

When you start creating content with the goal of helping people take that "next step" with you, whether it's subscribing to your email list or following you on social media, you'll start to see an increase in sales and followers.

OBJECTIONS EXAMPLES:

For example, let's say you're trying to sell 1:1 personal training packages at your local gym. And let's say that your audience doesn't appear interested.

A personal trainer would need to stop and ask themselves: "what objections to my offers could my audience have?"

Here are some possible objections:

- "I have exercised before and never gotten results"

- "I don't want to work out in front of the whole gym"

- "I don't have time to go to the gym every day"

Once these possible objections are identified, you can start creating content around them. This might mean creating social media posts that address common fears and misconceptions about personal training, or offering case studies of successful clients who have seen results.

OVERCOMING THESE OBJECTIONS:

  • For instance, if someone has the objection that they've exercised before and never saw results, you might write a post titled: "3 Reasons Why You Weren't Seeing Results from Your Workouts (And What to Do Instead)."

  • If you want to address the objection "I don't want to work out in front of the whole gym", you could create a video showing people working out in your private, personal training studio in a separate part of the gym.

  • Or for the objection, "I don't have time to go to the gym every day," you could talk about how you'll develop a home exercise program for them to do in between your weekly sessions.

By providing this valuable content, you are helping to overcome the objections that might be stopping potential customers from purchasing your services. And when you remove objections, you'll start to see an increase in sales.

So, if you're not getting the results you want from your social media content, ask yourself "will the information in this post lead my audience closer to a sale?" If the answer is no, it's time to change up your strategy!

Here's what you can do TODAY to overcome the objections your audience has when it comes to your product or service:

1. Make a list of all the possible objections someone could have to your offer

2. Create content (blogs, videos, social media posts) that addresses each objection

3. Monitor your results and see if you start to get more sales & followers!

By following these steps, you'll be on your way to creating social media content that gets results!
